In 1965 Duke Ellington said ”I wonder if the world will ever know how much it had in this beautiful man.”  Be in the know! Don’t miss your chance to hear the beginning of 1940s cool with original arrangements by Gil Evans, Gerry Mulligan, John Hefti, Charles Naylor, Bill Borden, Claude Thornhill and others.  Most of these extraordinary works haven’t been performed in decades.
Kevin has assembled a library of these amazing “three-minute masterpieces” that are truly unique and beautiful big band writing.  I’ll be playing trombone on this concert, but I’ve enjoyed just hearing them live– don’t miss this unique concert.
Hope to see you there!
